Sikh man dies while trying to rescue 3 children from drowning in US
In a shocking incident, a 29-year-old Sikh man died after he jumped into a river to rescue three children from drowning in the US state of California.
According to the report, the man has been identified as Manjeet Singh. The man was visiting Reedley Beach near his home in Fresno County. As per the Los Angeles Times, Manjeet Singh saw three children struggling in the Kings River.
CNN quoted Reedley Police Department commander Mark Ediger as saying: "Two eight-year-old girls and a 10-year-old boy were playing in the river when they were pulled under a bridge by the current.
Meanwhile, Manjeet Singh, who was at the river with his brother-in-law and other friends, removed his turban pull the children using it like a rope in but was quickly pulled under himself.

Reedley Police Commander Marc Ediger stated that Manjit went in to help them but unfortunately, went underwater fairly quickly and never came back up. He was found unresponsive after 40 minutes. Afterward, Manjit was taken to a hospital, where he was declared dead.
