Uttar Pradesh: Journalist’s body found hanging from a tree

Police recovered the body of a journalist from Uttar Pradesh. Rajesh Aggarwal was found hanging from a tree in Uttar Pardesh’s Amroha district on Monday. He was working with a national Hindi newspaper.

The police recovered a suicide note from his pocket. But, the villagers and relatives allege that the local school manager murdered him and then hanged him. Police officer Ajay Kumar said that after being informed, police recovered Rajesh’s body.

According to Rakesh Aggarwal, his brother’s statement, Rajesh was missing since Sunday evening. He was last seen with Shyam Giri, the manager of a local school. Rakesh alleged that Giri killed him and later hanged him on the tree to make it look like a suicide. Rakesh had a loan of Rs 1 lakh and some exchange of money was involved with Giri.

Police officer said that though it appears to be suicide, but they will not rule out family’s murder allegations. His body has been sent to a nearby hospital for autopsy.
