Virat Kohli 23 runs away from surpassing Sachin Tendulkar's record
India has already lost three-matches in ODI series, team India will be looking make up for it when they take on Australia in the third and final encounter in Canberra on Wednesday.
Australia defeated India by 66 runs in the first ODI and followed it up with another dominating win by 51 runs in the second ODI to take 2-0 lead in the series.

While India would want to end the series on a winning note, skipper Virat Kohli will be looking to create another huge personal milestone at the Manuka Oval. Kohli, who is regarded as one of the best batsmen in the world at the moment, will be looking to become the fastest batsman to complete 12,000 runs in ODI cricket and break another record set by the legendary .
Currently, Tendulkar holds the record for being the fastest to 12,000 ODI runs having achieved the feat in 300 innings across 309 ODI matches. Kohli currently has 11,977 runs in 250 ODIs and is just 23 runs short of becoming the fastest to ace the 12,000-mark in ODIs. If Virat Kohli manages to score 23 runs against Australia on Wednesday, he will achieve the milestone in 58 fewer matches compared to Tendulkar.
Kohli has been one of the most consistent batsmen across formats for Team India, over the years and continues to scale new milestones with his incredible batting.
