Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who is an idol for many youngsters, has topped the brand valuation list for the third consecutive year. According to a study by global advisory firm, his value has risen by an impressive 39 per cent to $237.5 million in 2019. Virat Kohli has various record to his name in the game of cricket. The report titled Celebrity Brand Valuation Study 2019: New is Gold, provides a ranking of India’s most powerful celebrities based on brand values from their endorsement contracts. Virat Kohli was ahead of many Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh and Shah Rukh Khan. Akshay Kumar is second in the list in terms of brand endorsements with a brand value of $104.5 million, with the growth rate of 55.3 per cent. Meanwhile, the Bollywood couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone claimed the third spot with a brand value of $93.5 million each. Deepika Padukone has retained her spot for the second consecutive year while Ranveer Singh moved up a spot to occupy the same position as that of Deepika. Among the sports persons, the list features cricketers in the list with former Indian skipper MS Dhoni claiming ninth spot with a value of $41.2 million. Meanwhile, Sachin Tendulkar took 15th spot and Rohit Sharma, also known as Hitman, has secured 20th position.
