Visually-Challenged Students Hold Protest Against 'Abusive' In-Charge in J'khand Visually challenged students of a residential school staged a protest on Saturday against the abusive in-charge, who make them work, beats and verbally abuse them. Students belonged to the a residential school for the visually-challenged in Hizla village in Jharkhand's Dumka district. In the protest they demanded a new in-charge from the social welfare department as the school is run by a Godda-based NGO. Student told the sources, "We are unhappy with the way we are taught. Also, we are not provided good quality of food. We want a new in-charge.” Dumka Sub-Divisional Magistrate Rakesh Kumar said, “Students say that the in-charge misbehaves with them. They are made to work, not given food as per menu and face water crisis. Even doors of the bathrooms in the school are broken. The concerned officers are investigating the matter. We will take appropriate legal action." I don't know if anyone else in the school mistreats the students. But, I have never done this." -PTC NEWS-
