Former Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Thursday alleged that Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh was dancing to the tunes of the Centre who wanted to divert the attention from the ongoing farmers protest. Taking to Twitter, Harsimrat Kaur Badal wrote: "Captain Amarinder Singh, we know you're dancing to the tunes of your 'bosses' at the Centre who want to divert public attention from Kisan Andolan. Shiromani Akali Dal wants the guilty punished but will you first take responsibility for 100+ sacrilege incidents in the 4 years of your misrule?" Earlier in the day, 15 MPs including Harsimrat Kaur Badal reached the Ghazipur Border to express solidarity with farmers and demand to repeal Farm Laws immediately. The MPs, from different political parties, also demanded an end to atrocities being meted out to peacefully agitating farmers. Former Union Minister also said that farmers sitting at Delhi borders were being purposely harassed by depriving access to electricity, water and basic amenities. The Union government has created conditions worse than jail for farmers fighting for their rights, she said. Even as she said that it was ironical that the national capital was barricaded at 13 levels to secure it from our own people. "Such arrangements were not made even against enemy countries! Meanwhile, 7 more farmers lost their lives due to the adamant attitude of the Centre which crossed all the limits of cruelty, Shiromani Akali Dal said in a statement.
