If your answer is yes! Then there is good news for the person whose privacy was violated by your screenshot practice. WhatsApp is coming up with a brand new feature that will give them a sigh of relief!
In the latest beta version of the Facebook-owned messaging app, according to WABetaInfo, there is a feature that, if enabled, will no longer let you take screenshots of chats inside the app. The new feature has been spotted on WhatsApp beta for Android 2.19.106 update. However, even if you have the feature enabled, others will still be able to take screenshots of chats that include you.

WABetaInfo pointed out that since WhatsApp is working on Fingerprint Authentication for Android, “there seems no use of the new screenshot option as well”. When the option will be available for users of the stable WhatsApp app has not been disclosed yet.

Besides this, the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.19.106 update “comes with some improvements in the Fingerprint Authentication feature, however, it is still not available for WhatsApp beta for Android users”.
