With 2,800+ new cases, Punjab's COVID-19 tally crosses 90,000-mark
The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 90,032 after a record of 2,896 new cases of COVID-19 were reported from the state on Thursday.
According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department, the death toll in the state has increased to 2,646 after 57 new deaths were reported from the state.

Among the new deaths, Ludhiana reported 12 new casualties, Jalandhar reported 9, Patiala 7, Fatehgarh Sahib 6, Pathankot 4, Amritsar 3, Ferozepur 3, Sangrur 3, Bathinda 2, Fazilka 2, Gurdaspur 2, Hoshiarpur 2, and Moga 2.
A total of 2,248 new recoveries were reported from the state on Thursday.
Of these, Ludhiana reported 68 new recoveries, Jalandhar 208, Patiala 155, Amritsar 320, SAS Nagar 456, Gurdaspur 4, Bathinda 58, Hoshiarpur 306, Sangrur 42, Ferozepur 50, Pathankot 138, Kapurthala 58, Faridkot 114, Moga 76, Muktsar 45, Barnala 27, Fazilka 28, Fatehgarh Sahib 27, Ropar 27, Tarn Taran 5, Mansa 10, and SBS Nagar 26.
Among the new cases, Ludhiana reported 513 new cases, Jalandhar 357, Patiala 294, Amritsar 181, SAS Nagar 284, Gurdaspur 134, Bathinda 222, Hoshiarpur 48, Sangrur 65, Ferozepur 96, Pathankot 63, Kapurthala 133, Faridkot 68, Moga 11, Muktsar 77, Barnala 39, Fazilka 69, FG Sahib 42, Ropar 59, Tarn Taran 44, Mansa 41 and SBS Nagar 56.
