With 5,278 fresh infections, coronavirus cases in Punjab continue to decline
Coronavirus Punjab Updates: Coronavirus cases in Punjab have started to decline as the state on Friday recorded 5,278 new cases of COVID-19 in 24 hours taking the total number of cases to 5,28,676.
Ludhiana reported 687 new cases while Bathinda reported 565, Jalandhar 486, Patiala 380, Muktsar 349, Fazilka 342, SAS Nagar 336, Hoshiarpur 282, Amritsar 260, Pathankot 256, and Ferozepur 191.

Likewise, Mansa reported 169 new cases, Sangrur 164, Gurdaspur 162, FG Sahib 123, Faridkot 107, Ropar 95, Barnala 70, Kapurthala 66, SBS Nagar 66, Moga 61, and Tarn Taran 61.

On the other hand, the total number of recoveries in the state has increased to 4,52,318 after the state added 8,652 new recoveries in 24 hours.
Amritsar recorded 423 new recoveries while Barnala added 46, Bathinda 726, Faridkot 243, Fazilka 706, Ferozpur 246, FG Sahib 189, Gurdaspur 229, Hoshiarpur 303, Jalandhar 788, Kapurthala 193, Ludhiana 1363, Mansa 317, Moga 52, Muktsar 316, Pathankot 322, Patiala 553, Ropar 209, Sangrur 235, SAS Nagar 999, SBS Nagar 112, and Tarn Taran 82.
The death toll in Punjab due to COVID-19 has increased to 12,888 after 172 fresh deaths were recorded in 24 hours.
Amritsar added 9 new fatalities while Barnala added 3, Bathinda 19, Faridkot 3, FG Sahib 4, Fazilka 9, Ferozpur 3, Gurdaspur 5, Hoshiarpur 5, Jalandhar 9, Kapurthala 4, Ludhiana 23, Mansa 5, Moga 1, SAS Nagar 13, Muktsar 7, Pathankot 8, Patiala 19, Ropar 4, Sangrur 11, SBS Nagar 3, and Tarn Taran 5.
