Coronavirus India Updates: As the second wave of coronavirus has been declining in India, there has been a continuous fall in daily new COVID-19 cases. The Union Health Ministry, while giving coronavirus updates, stated that India reported 2,22,315 new COVID-19 cases, 3,02,544 discharges, and 4,454 deaths in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of coronavirus cases has increased to 2,67,52,447 while discharges reached 2,37,28,011, the death toll stands at 3,03,720, and active cases at 27,20,716. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the total number of samples tested up to May 23 is 33,05,36,064 including 19,28,127 samples tested on Sunday. Meanwhile, the government of India stated that it has so far provided more than 21.80 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses (21,80,51,890) to States/UTs. More than 1.80 crore vaccine doses (1,80,43,015) are still available with the States/UTs to be administered, the Govt of India stated. Coronavirus India Updates: As second wave of coronavirus has been declining in India, there has been continuous fall in daily COVID-19 cases. On Monday, the Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan chaired the 27th Group of Ministers Meeting on COVID-19. "Till now, 5,424 cases of Mucormycosis reported in 18 States/UTs.
