Knife-wielding woman injures 14 children in kindergarten attack
A 39-year-old woman, armed with a knife, injured 14 kindergarten children in China on Friday. She slashed and stabbed the teacher in a school in the southwestern city of Chongqing. The suspect attacked the 3-year-old children when they were returning from morning exercises with their teachers at 9:30 am.
All the injured kindergarten students were rushed to the hospital for treatment. The suspect has been identified only by her surname, Liu. The police has arrested the women. Police is investigating the matter. The motive behind the attack is still unknown. According to the social media reports, the woman had some grievance against the government.
The injured children were bleeding from severe cuts to their faces and other body parts. The parents standing at the entrance of the school were stunned by the incident. The woman was dragged away by the police. The injured children were taken out on the hospital stretcher.
The children covered in blood were rushed inside the hospital building from the ambulances. The security guard and teachers were able to handle the woman. The onlookers and parents were attempting to hit and kick the woman after she was captured.
