Wrestler and BJP leader Babita Phogat resigned from her post in Haryana Police on Thursday. "I joined the party and you can only do so after submitting a resignation, failing which it would be a conflict of interest. I submitted my resignation in August," said Babita, whose resignation has been accepted by the state police. https://twitter.com/ANI/status/1172001843913715712 Babita resigned on August 13 this year. She joined the BJP with her father Mahavir Singh Phogat in the presence of Union sports minister Kiren Rijiju on August 12. Babita won the gold medal in the 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games. She also won a Bronze medal in the 2012 World Wrestling Championships.
