Highlighting the BJP’s landslide victory in elections, the party leader has predicted the breakdown of the ruling coalition and has claimed that at least 20 Congress legislators are unhappy with the coalition and are likely to take some decision about it. Taking on Yeddyurappa, former Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah stated that the ruling coalition is a strong alliance and the victory in the Lok Sabha elections is to form a government at the centre and not to topple the state government. He dismissed the BJP leader’s prediction that the state government would collapse on June 1 and challenged him to resign if his prediction does not come true. He also stated that all dissident leaders including Ramesh Jarkiholi who had met BJP leaders SM Krishna and Yeddyurappa is also with Congress and not defecting to BJP.-
