Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has been booked for domestic violence by former Bigg Boss contestant and sister-in-law Akanksha. She filed a domestic violence case against the cricketer, her mother-in-law (Shabnam) and her husband (Zorawar). Akanksha's lawyer Swati Singh Malik also confirmed the news saying, "Yes, Akanksha has filed a case of domestic violence against Yuvraj, her husband Zoravar and their mother Shabnam." When asked about the involvement of Yuvraj in the 'domestic violence' scenario, the lawyer said, "Look, domestic violence does not mean just physical violence. It also means mental and financial torture, which can be attributed to Yuvraj. "Yuvraj was a mute spectator to the suffering caused to my client by Zoravar and his mother," the lawyer further added. "When Yuvraj and Zoravar's mother was pressurising Akanksha to have a baby, Yuvraj too had joined in to do the same. He too told Akanksha 'to have a baby'. He was hand-in-glove with his mother," Malik further revealed. “Yuvraj would even tell Akanksha that she should obey his mother because she was the most superior person in the house,” she added, “Really, that lady is extremely dominant. Zoravar and Akanksha were at her mercy for every decision. "Yuvraj even told Akanksha that if she does not toe the line then she has no place in that house,” Malik concluded. “As far as substance abuse goes, it was there in their family too. Whatever I did was with them. I smoked pot with my husband. Yuvi also told me he smoked pot. It is a very common thing in the industry. My mother-in-law now needs to say something to justify herself,” Akanksha had said. The domestic violence case against Yuvraj Singh's family has been registered in Gurugram. -PTC News-
