Farmers burn copies of farm laws on occasion of 'Holika Dahan'
Farmers Holi: Farmers, on Sunday, burnt copies of Centre's farm laws at various places on the occasion of 'Holika Dahan'. Bharatiya Kisan Union leader leader Rakesh Tikait said that they will celebrate Holi with Delhi and Uttar Pradesh police personnel at the border only.
Copies of three farm laws were burnt in the Holika Dahan by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha as well, as farmers celebrated Holi at the protest sites on the Delhi borders, declaring the legislations as anti-farmer and anti-people.

"Considering this as a sign of the victory of good over evil, farmers said that these laws will have to be repealed and law on MSP will have to be enacted," said Farmer leader Dr Darshan Pal in a statement.
Rakesh Tikait told the news agency IANS that the farmers they will be celebrating Holi with Delhi and Uttar Pradesh police personnel who were deployed at the border.

Even as he said that necessary arrangements would be made for them and that they would communicate to them asking them to celebrate Holi together.
Bharatiya Kisan Union leader leader Rakesh Tikait said when pleasantries exchanged at the India-Pakistan border on every festivals then why can't it be done here at the Ghazipur border? Adding, he said that if pleasantries were not exchanged, then it would mean that the Ghazipur border was more dangerous than the Pakistan border.
Farmers will invite the security forces and policemen at the border to celebrate Holi together.
