Samyukta Kisan Morcha to review February 1 call for farmers' march to Parliament
Day after violence erupted during the farmers' tractor march in Delhi as some protestors hoisted flags at Red Fort, the farmer leader Yogendra Yadav said that Samyukta Kisan Morcha will discuss and review the February 1 call for farmers' march to Parliament.
Samyukta Kisan Morcha is set for a crucial meeting on Wednesday, farmer leader Yogendra Yadav said.
He said that farmers' protest would continue, evolve, learn, and crackdown on separatist forces trying to defame the peasant movement.
As per the report, Yadav said that the farmers union would discuss and review the February 1 call for farmers' march to Parliament after violence erupted during the farmers' tractor march in Delhi.
We could not let the agitation become violent, he said.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Police stated that more than 300 Police personnel were injured after being attacked by protestors on January 26 even as an additional DCP Central's operator was attacked with a sword at ITO.
One farmer died during the violence. While farmers claim that he was shot the Delhi Police has released a video stating that he died after the tractor overturned hitting barricades.
Likewise, farmers leader Rakesh Tikait said that "Those who created violence and unfurled flags at Red Fort will have to pay for their deeds."
