Bank Holidays in July 2021: Banks to remain closed for 15 days in July, details inside

Bank Holidays in July 2021: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced the days when the banking operations will remain closed in July, however, the online banking services will continue to operate.

As per the bank holidays in July 2021, the banks will remain closed for a total of 15 days in the month of July. Of 15 holidays, 9 are in accordance with the RBI holiday calendar list while the remaining days are the weekends.

It is pertinent to mention that the banking activities in different states may vary.

RBI announces bank holidays under three brackets - Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act; Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday; and Banks’ Closing of Accounts.

The holidays in banks also depend on the festivals in specific states or notification of specific occasions in those states.

Apart from bank holidays, the banks will remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.
