Security forces neutralise two terrorists in encounter in J-K's Kulgam
PTC News Desk: Two terrorists were killed in an anti-terror operation carried out by security forces in the Redwani Payeen area of Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam on Tuesday, according to officials.
The Kashmir Zone Police stated that the terrorists' bodies have been recovered. Their identities are still to be ascertained by authorities.
"Bodies of 02 #terrorists killed in the anti-terrorist operation recovered so far. Identity & affiliation being ascertained. #Operation in progress. Further details shall follow," the Kashmir Zone Police said.
Earlier in the day, terrorists and security personnel engaged in an exchange of fire in the Redwani Payeen region of Kulgam, south Kashmir.
However, there was no official indication of whether the terrorists involved in a confrontation with the forces were responsible for the Poonch attack.
On May 4, suspected terrorists from across the border targeted a convoy in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch area, killing one Indian Air Force officer and injuring four others. The attack occurred between Surankote's Sanai Top and Mendhar's Gursai region in the border district. "An Indian Air Force vehicle convoy was attacked by terrorists in the Poonch district," an official said.
