A two-year-old Labrador Retriever named Hatty was sworn-in at the state attorney's office in Chicago earlier this week. The Labrador will be part of the Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Unit and will comfort victims as they navigate the criminal justice system.

In line with her human colleagues, Hatty will work a 9-to-5 shift. Her KRA is easing the stress on young children who have been subjected to crime and assault.

We are proud to have a resource like Hatty to provide a source of comfort for victims as they navigate this difficult process."
