Twin landmine blasts in Balochistan: In a twin landmine blasts that shook Thaikedar Naddi in the Duki district of Balochistan, one killed and 20 others reported injured.

The first explosion occurred when a truck hit a landmine, followed by a second blast as people gathered at the scene.

The police officials said that both landmine blasts resulted in the killing of one citizen. The injured were shifted to the nearby hospitals for medical assistance.

Earlier, a previous month, tragedy struck near a mosque on Kuchlak Road in Quetta, resulting in the death of a policeman and injuries to 20 people. Among the injured were 12 people, including five security personnel, who were promptly transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment.

Following the incident, law enforcement agencies swiftly cordoned off the area and launched an investigation into the explosion to ascertain its nature and cause. This unfortunate event adds to the recent surge in terrorist activities observed in the province.

In February, Balochistan experienced another devastating blast outside a political party's office in the Pishin region, claiming the lives of at least 12 people and injuring 25 others.

These incidents have raised concerns among human rights organisations, with Amnesty International expressing apprehension over the escalating trend of "lethal and targeted violence" in Balochistan.
