Punjab Assembly Elections 2022: Ludhiana West constituency is located in the Ludhiana district of Punjab. It is one of the 117 seats of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Congress' Bharat Bhushan (Ashu) won the last assembly elections and is the current MLA of Ludhiana West.

He won the 2017 elections by defeating Aam Aadmi Party's Ahbaab Singh with a margin of 36,521 votes.

Voters

According to the voter list for the 2017 assembly elections, the total number of voters in the constituency is 1,76,839. 193 polling stations were established by the election commission during these elections.

A total of 1,22,070 votes were cast in the Ludhiana West constituency and the percentage was 69.03%, which was recorded lower than the state average.

Candidates

Aam Aadmi Party's Ahbaab Singh, Bharatiya Janata Party's Kamal Chatly and Congress' Bharat Bhushan (Ashu) were MLA candidates for the Ludhiana West constituency in the 2017 Punjab assembly elections.

Bharat Bhushan Ashu (Congress) grabbed 66,627 votes, while Ahbaab Singh (AAP) got 30,106 votes. Kamal Chatly (BJP) managed to get 22,620 votes.
