Punjab Assembly Elections 2022: Majitha is located in the Amritsar District of Punjab. It is one of the 117 seats of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Shiromani Akali Dal's Bikram Singh Majithia won the last assembly elections and is the current MLA of Majitha.

He won the 2017 elections by defeating Congress' Sukhjinder Raj Singh (Lalli) with a margin of 22,884 votes.

Voters

According to the voter list for the 2017 assembly elections, the total number of voters in the constituency is 1,55,530. 193 polling stations were established by the election commission during these elections.

A total of 1,22,609 votes were cast in the constituency and the percentage of voting was 78.83%, which was recorded higher than the state average.

Candidates

Himmat Singh Shergill from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Sukhjinder Raj Singh (Lalli) from Congress and Bikram Singh Majithia from Shiromani Akali Dal(SAD) were in a face-off in the 2017 Punjab Assembly Elections 2017.
