Raghav Chadha spends a day as Blinkit delivery partner; watch

PTC Web Desk: Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha has stepped out of meeting rooms and policy debates to experience life on the ground — quite literally. In a teaser shared on social media platform X, the Aam Aadmi Party leader revealed that he spent a day shadowing a Blinkit delivery rider, aiming to understand the everyday realities of India’s gig workers.
The short video opens with Chadha changing into Blinkit’s signature green T-shirt and jacket before taking over a delivery bag from a rider. What follows is a glimpse into the routine of a delivery partner, riding pillion on a scooter through city streets, stopping at a store to collect items and navigating residential complexes to complete an order.
At the delivery location, the camera captures the rider stepping out of the lift and ringing the doorbell, with Chadha closely following behind. The clip cuts abruptly at the doorstep, ending with a cliffhanger message: “Stay tuned.”

The post has drawn attention as it comes shortly after Chadha raised concerns in Parliament over the working conditions of gig and platform workers. During the Winter Session, he highlighted issues such as low wages, extended working hours and the lack of social security coverage for delivery partners and app-based workers.
The MP has been vocal about the need for stronger protections for India’s rapidly expanding gig workforce, which now includes millions of delivery riders, drivers and freelance service providers across platforms.
In December 2025, the debate around gig work intensified after a video of a Blinkit delivery executive discussing his earnings went viral, triggering widespread public reaction and renewed scrutiny of pay structures in the sector. The delivery partner, identified as Thapliyal Ji from Uttarakhand, later met Chadha, a meeting that became symbolic of the growing conversation around fair compensation and dignity of labour.
Following the conclusion of Parliament’s Winter Session, Chadha invited the delivery executive to his residence for lunch.
For now, viewers are left waiting at the doorstep, much like the final frame of the video, to see what comes next.
