PTC News Desk: A day after chilling murder of Aam Aadmi Party's sitting sarpanch Jarmail Singh was shot dead at a wedding ceremony, gangster Dony Bal has claimed responsibility for the killing. The post, allegedly made by gang members Doni Bal, Prabh Dasuwal, Mohabbat Randhawa accused the sarpanch of bribing the police of Rs 35 lakh and getting his house demolished.

Jarmal Singh, the sarpanch of Valtoha village in Tarn Taran distrit was attending a ceremony when two unidentified assailants targetted Singh and shot him at point-blank range in the head.
The police said the gunmen struck just moments after the bride and groom had dparted the venue.
Meanwhile Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal strongly condemned the brutal killing of the sarpanch and questioned the deteriorating law and order situation in the state, calling for accountability for this lawlessness.
"Targeted killings in public places have become routine, exposing the complete policing failure under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who also holds the Home portfolio," he said in a post.
