All schools and colleges to remain shut in Punjab till September 7 in view of flood situation

The directive applies to all government, aided, recognised, and private schools, colleges, universities, and polytechnics throughout the state.

PTC News Desk: In view of the flood situation in Punjab, all the schools, colleges and universities will remain shut across the state till September 7. 

The directive applies to all government, aided, recognised, and private schools, colleges, universities, and polytechnics throughout the state.


Punjab education minister took to his social media and confirmed the development. "As directed by Hon’ble CM Punjab Sh. Bhagwant Singh Mann Ji, in view of the flood situation, all Govt/Aided/Recognized & Private Schools, Colleges, Universities & Polytechnics across Punjab will remain closed till 7th Sept 2025," the post read.


Harjot Singh Bains further urged the people to strictly follow local administration’s guidelines.


Further announcements regarding reopening of the institutions will be made based on the evolving situation.
