PTC Web Desk:  In a major security scare, former sarpanch Jagmandeep Singh, popularly known as Minku Kundal, was targeted in a firing incident in Punjab’s Abohar on Saturday. The attack took place when he was attending a wedding function at Ratta Tibba village.

According to initial reports, unidentified assailants opened fire at his vehicle while he was present at the venue. However, the bullets failed to cause harm as Kundal was travelling in a bulletproof SUV. He escaped unhurt in the incident.

Sources claimed that gangster Arjoo  Bishnoi had allegedly issued threats to Kundal earlier. The latest attack comes days after a similar incident was reported in Kular village, raising concerns over his security.

Jagmandeep Singh Minku Kundal, a resident of Kundal village in Abohar, has been active in local politics. His wife recently won the Zila Parishad election from the Kundal zone, further increasing the family’s political profile in the area.

The police have launched an investigation into the firing and are scanning CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify the attackers. Security around Kundal has reportedly been tightened following the incident.
