Punjab govt orders major administrative reshuffle; 42 PCS and IAS officers transferred

PTC Web Desk:  In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Punjab Government has ordered the immediate transfer and posting of 42 IAS and PCS officers across the state. The orders have been issued on administrative grounds and take effect immediately.

Key IAS transfers

Rajdeep Singh Brar, IAS (2020) has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Malerkotla. He has been relieved of his additional charge as Additional Chief Administrator, Bathinda Development Authority. Sunil, IAS (2023), who was awaiting posting, has been appointed SDM, Balachaur.

The reshuffle impacts key administrative positions, including Deputy Commissioners’ offices, Municipal Corporations, Regional Transport Authorities, and Chief Minister’s field offices across multiple districts.

The government stated that the transfers have been carried out to ensure administrative efficiency and improved governance across the state.
