Punjab Police have released a sketch of a prime suspect in the killing of a Hindu leader in Ludhiana.

The sketch was made after the CCTV video by Close Circuit Cameras in the area near his house at Basti Jodhewal was released. Police have also announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh to anyone who identifies the suspect.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader Ravinder Gosain was shot dead by two armed assailants on October 17. Police announced later that they would hand over investigations to the National Investigation Agency.

Nine religious leaders — five of them Hindus — have been murdered in Punjab in the last two years. The latest death came two days ago  — 15 days after Gosain's killing — when Hindu Sangharsh Sena leader Vipan Sharma was shot dead in Amritsar.
