Several pedestrians have been injured when they were hit by a van near Yonge Street and Finch Avenue East.
In a tweet police said 8 to 10 pedestrians may be injured. Media channels reveal that the driver of the van has been taken in custody.
The extent of injuries is not currently known.
Subway service has been suspended in some areas of Toronto .
