Indian women’s hockey captain Savita Punia marries Canada-based software engineer

PTC Web Desk: Indian women’s hockey captain Savita Punia has married Canada-based software engineer Ankit Balhara. He hails from Haryana’s Sonepat district.

The wedding ceremony took place at a private ceremony at Park Plaza Hotel in Chandigarh. It is learnt that members of bride and groom's families and close relatives were present at the wedding ceremony.

Hockey India president  Dilip Kumar Tirkey tweeted, “Heartfelt congratulations to Indian women's hockey team captain Savita Punia on her wedding! Wishing her and her partner a lifetime of love, happiness, and teamwork. Best wishes,” he wrote.

Indian women’s hockey captain Savita Punia belongs to Haryana’s Sirsa district.
