SSP Nawanshahar stops illegal mining after Punjab CM orders probe

After Punjab Chief Minster Captain Amarinder Singh spotted illegal mining from his chopper in Jalandhar and Nawanshahr and asked for immediate action, the Senior Superintendent Of Police (SSP) of Nawanshahar reached Malakpur, Nawanshahr, Punjab and stopped the work immediately. 

He seized 19 tippers filled with sand and five pole-line machines and immediately stopped illegal mining being carried out.

The Punjab CM was on his way to inaugurate the Jang-e-Azadi memorial at Kartarpur, when he spotted some JCB machines evidently engaged in illegal mining on the Sutlej.

Punjab CM tweeted aerial photos taken from his helicopter.

Punjab Chief Minister spotted illegal mining on way to Kartarpur being carried out with JCB Machines on Sutlej banks in Jalandhar and Nawanshahr, Punjab on Tuesday morning.

Captain Amarinder immediately ordered probe in the same and asked the concerned DCs and SSPs to seize the equipment immediately.
