Coronavirus Delhi: While the Unlock process has already started in Delhi, several markets have been shut on the orders of the district magistrate for violation of Covid-appropriate behaviour.
The Laxmi Nagar main market and other adjoining markets have ordered by the East Delhi district magistrate for violation of Covid-appropriate behaviour.

The areas that have been closed include Mangal Bazaar, Vijay Chowk, Subhash Chowk, Jagatram Park and Guru Ramdas Nagar.

The stretch from Vikas Marg to Lovely Public School, Kishan Kunj and its adjoining markets, including Mangal Bazaar, Vijay Chowk, Subhash Chowk, Jagatram Park, Guru Ramdas Nagar, etc would not be allowed to open from 10 pm on June 19 till 10 pm on July 5 or till further orders.

It comes at a time when the Delhi government has been allowing the resumption of business activities as a part of its unlock plan. The shops and weekly markets were allowed to reopen earlier this month.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had said that the coronavirus restrictions were being eased on a trial basis. Subsequently, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has given approval to more relaxations and allowed the reopening of gyms and yoga centers at 50 percent capacity.
Meanwhile, the gathering for marriages has also been permitted with a ceiling of 50 persons.
