Jalandhar, February 26: In yet another incident of sacrilege, where tension prevailed in Jalandhar throughout the day. On Sunday, a case of desecration of Sri Gutka Sahib has come to the light in Beant Nagar of Ramamandi.
According to information, a person came inside the Gurdwara Sahib on Sunday morning, where he took the Gutka Sahib and talked out on the street. And after sometime, he started tearing and throwing the sheets of Gutka Sahib on the streets.

After sometime few people came out of the Gurdwara Sahib caught hold of him, then they tied him to a pillar and started beating him. The accused was then handed over to the police. Police then identified the accused as Varinder Singh son of Bhagwant Singh, resident of Guru Nanakpura, who was found under the influence of alcohol when he was caught.
Inspector Surinder and ASI Kulwant Singh reached the spot and arrested the accused. According to the information received from the spot, the said accused had brought Sir Gutka Sahib from another place and he came outside the Gurdwara Sahib of Beant Nagar and started tearing the Gutka Sahib's parts.
