PTC News Desk: Renowned American YouTuber "MrBeast," whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, has achieved a groundbreaking milestone by becoming the first person to surpass a million followers on Meta's new platform, Threads. The platform was launched recently and has gained significant attention.

MrBeast now boasts three million followers and counting, solidifying his record-breaking achievement. This feat has earned him a mention in the Guinness World Records. Humorously acknowledging his success, MrBeast jokingly commented on Threads, stating, "I feel like I'm cheating on Twitter by using this app," followed by a playful tweet to the Guinness World Records.

Fast Progression and Tongue-in-Cheek Proposal:

MrBeast accomplished the feat of earning a million followers after posting just three times on Threads, as confirmed by the Guinness World Records. In one of his posts, he playfully inquired if Meta's chief, Mark Zuckerberg, should appoint him as the CEO of Threads. Amusingly, his bio on the platform even humorously states, "Future Threads CEO."

It is worth noting that although MrBeast's account was the first personal account to reach this milestone, other accounts that achieved a million followers were associated with organizations such as Instagram and National Geographic.

Threads, Meta's competitor to Twitter, was launched recently and quickly garnered significant attention. Mark Zuckerberg shared that within the first few hours of the platform's launch, more than 10 million people had signed up. The app allows users to post text and links, engage with others' messages, and port over their existing follower lists and account names from Instagram.

While the app has already amassed over 30 million users, Twitter, led by Elon Musk, has issued a legal threat, alleging violations of their intellectual property rights. Alex Spiro, lawyer for Elon Musk, sent a letter to Meta's CEO, accusing them of "unlawful misappropriation of Twitter's trade secrets and other intellectual property."

MrBeast's achievement of reaching a million followers on Meta's Threads sets a remarkable Guinness World Record. The platform's launch has garnered substantial interest and has already attracted millions of users. However, legal challenges loom as Twitter threatens legal action against Meta, citing intellectual property concerns.

The ongoing popularity and controversies surrounding Threads highlight the intense competition and evolving dynamics in the realm of social media platforms.
