Eight Indian-origin men arrested in Gang-Related Kidnapping Case in California
The accused have been booked under various charges including kidnapping, torture, conspiracy, assault, gang enhancement, illegal weapons and manufacturing.
PTC News Desk: At least eight men of Indian origin have been arrested California’s San Joaquin County on Friday in a gang-related kidnapping and torture case, said authorities.
The accused have been identified as - Dilpreet Singh, Arshpreet Singh, Amritpal Singh, Vishal (last name unknown), Pavittar Singh, Gurtaj Singh, Manpreet Randhawa, Sarabjit Singh.
The accused have been booked under various charges including kidnapping, torture, conspiracy, assault, gang enhancement, illegal weapons and manufacturing.
Several security teams came together to execute five coordinated search warrants across San Joaquin County as part of a gang-related kidnapping and torture investigation, leading to the arrest of eight men.
In a joint operation carried out by the San Joaquin County Sherif's Office AGNET Stockton Police Department SWAT team, Manteca Police Department SWAT team, Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office SWAT team, and the FBI SWAT team, the police officials executed the warrant and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunitions including 5 Handguns (1 fully-auto Glock), 1 Assault Rifle, High-capacity mags, Hundreds of rounds, $15K cash.
The arrests were part of the FBI's summer heat initiative to crackdown violent offenders and gang members who terrorise communities.
