PTC Web Desk: Just three days after the arrest of alleged gangster Nitish Kaushal, another Punjab-linked man has come under the spotlight in the United States. The FBI has added 32-year-old Harmanveer Singh to its Most Wanted list for his alleged role in an international drug trafficking network operating across North America.

Accused of working with Vancouver-based crime group

According to investigators, Harmanveer Singh is believed to be associated with the Vancouver-based Ravinder Dhanda organised crime group. The network is accused of smuggling large quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine through operations spanning the United States, Canada and Mexico. Officials claim Singh played an important role in the alleged drug trafficking operation.

Federal arrest warrant issued in the US

The FBI said a federal arrest warrant against Harmanveer Singh was issued by the US District Court in Los Angeles, California, on June 23, 2026. He faces charges related to conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, possession of narcotics with intent to distribute and other drug-related offences under US federal law.

What the FBI's most wanted list means

The FBI's Most Wanted list includes fugitives accused of serious crimes such as organised crime, large-scale drug trafficking and violent offences. Those featured on the list become a priority for law enforcement agencies across multiple countries.

Operation Hard Ball targeted major crime networks

Investigators said the crackdown on the Ravinder Dhanda network involved undercover operations and intelligence gathering carried out over several months.

Authorities allege that during 2023 and 2024, the group smuggled more than 948 pounds of cocaine across international borders.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and the FBI have been jointly conducting Operation Hard Ball, an operation targeting the Dhanda, Bishnoi and Bhagwanpuria criminal networks. Since June 23, several key members have been arrested as part of the ongoing investigation, dealing a major blow to the alleged cross-border drug trafficking network.
