PTC Web Desk: The ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran has taken a serious turn after two American warplanes were brought down in a single day. This has made the situation more tense. A US F-15E fighter jet was shot down while flying over Iran. The aircraft had two crew members on board. One of them was safely rescued, but the other is still missing.

Search operations are underway, but the situation is dangerous as the pilot is believed to be hiding somewhere inside Iranian territory.

On the same day, an A-10 Warthog aircraft was also hit and crashed over Kuwait. The pilot managed to eject in time and was later rescued. These back-to-back incidents have been seen as a big setback for the US military, especially as it had earlier claimed strong control over the skies.

The situation became even more risky when rescue teams went in to search for the missing F-15E crew member. Two Blackhawk helicopters sent for the mission were also hit during the operation. Although the crews survived and managed to return, it showed how unsafe the area has become, even for rescue missions.

Meanwhile, Iran has also started its own search for the missing American pilot. Reports suggest that Iranian authorities have asked local people to help locate him, even offering rewards. This has added another layer of tension, as the pilot is now being hunted in hostile territory.

Despite these developments, US President Donald Trump has tried to play down the incidents, saying such losses are part of war. However, these events have raised questions about earlier claims that the US had complete control over Iranian airspace.

Military experts believe that even weaker air defence systems can still pose serious threats, especially with mobile missile units and ground fire. The recent losses seem to support this view.

The conflict itself shows no signs of slowing down. Efforts to restart peace talks have failed so far, and both sides continue to exchange attacks. The fighting has also spread to other parts of the region, with Iran targeting US allies and important infrastructure.

This has had a wider impact as well. Oil prices have increased sharply due to fears of a long conflict, affecting the global economy.
