Will crush your economy: Trumps close aides stern warning to India over trade with Russia

PTC News Desk: US President Donald Trump's close aide Lindsey Graham has vehemently issued a warning to India over its prevailing trade with Russia. Besides India, Graham has issued a stern warning to China and Brazil over maintaining trade and warned of levying heavy tariffs if they continue to purchase oil from Russia.
“Trump is going to impose tariffs on people that buy Russian oil: China, India, and Brazil. Those three countries buy about 80 per cent of cheap Russian oil, and that's what keeps (Vladimir) Putin's war machine going. So, President Trump is going to put a 100 per cent tariff on all those countries, punishing them for helping Putin,” Graham told Fox News on Monday.
Graham has maintained that these three nations account for approximately 80 per cent of Russia's crude oil exports while arguing that the purchase from Russia fuels its bankroll in war against Ukraine.

In a direct message to Putin, Graham said, “You have played President Trump at your own peril. You made a major league mistake, and your economy is going to continue to be crushed. We’re flowing weapons to Ukraine, so Ukraine will have the weapons to fight Putin back.”
The Republican Senator accused Vladimir Putin of trying to revive the Soviet Union by invading sovereign nations.
“Putin wants to take countries that are not his. In the mid-90s, Ukraine gave up 1,700 nuclear weapons with a promise that their sovereignty would be respected by Russia. Putin broke that promise.”
