How Ram Mandir Handles Donations: Step by Step

Nearly one lakh devotees visit Ram Temple daily. Around 35 donation boxes collect cash, jewellery and other offerings from devotees

Donation boxes are opened only after they are full, in presence of at least four authorised officials, including Trust representatives and an SBI employee

Collected cash is transferred into locked iron containers and transported to counting room. CCTV cameras monitor the entire movement

Counting takes place from 8 am to 2 pm and 2 pm to 8 pm. Around 20 tellers work in each shift under designated supervisors

Inside the counting room, staff first separate currency notes, coins and jewellery before assigning them to different tellers for counting

After counting, cash is sealed in official containers and transported to SBI for independent verification and deposit

Once verified by SBI, amount is credited to Ram Janmabhoomi Kshetra Teerth Trust's donation account and official records are updated

According to officials, Trust's donation account has no cheque book facility. Payments to vendors and contractors are made through digital bank transfers
