3 Army personnel, 2 policemen martyred; 5 militants gunned down in Kupwara encounter

Four security forces personnel, including two Army jawans, were today killed in an encounter in the dense forests of the frontier district of Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir.

Five militants were also killed in the encounter between militants and security forces that has been going on since Tuesday.

Besides two policemen, 3 Territorial Army jawans were martyred in the encounter, which started Tuesday in the dense forests of Arampora, about 12 kms from the district headquarters of Kupwara.
