4 Killed, as four-storey building collapses in Gurugram, Rescue On

At least four people died and four others are still feared trapped after a four-storey under-construction building collapsed in Ullawas village in Gurugram on Thursday morning. The incident took place at around 5:15 am on Thursday.

Three teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) from Ghaziabad and Dwarka have joined the rescue operations.

According to a fire officer, Isham Singh, “Rescue teams are facing difficulty as they are removing concrete, iron grills, debris. There could be eight people, all labourers, feared trapped.”

Police told the media that the incident happened when construction work was underway to lay the lantern for the fourth floor. It further told that the department is on the lookout for the owner of the building.

A rescue operation is still going on.
