5000 pilgrims to visit Gurudwara Kartarpur Sahib every day, know what other facilities will be
- 5000 pilgrims will be able to visit Gurudwara Kartarpur Sahib every day. On special occasions like Vaiskahi, etc, 10,000 pilgrims would be allowed. Also besides Indian pilgrims, people of Indian origin would also be allowed to visit Gurudwara for seven days a year.
- It focuses on visa free travel.
- Since it is the most important religious shrine for Sikhs; therefore, pilgrims would also be allowed to travel on foot.
- The government of India has identified 50 acres of land for the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor. It would also include the Passenger Terminal Building complex that will be a state of the art green complex. It would display photographs based on rich Indian cultural values. The building would be inspired by the symbol of Khanda as it symbolizes the value of oneness and humanity.
- The building will be differently abled and elderly persons friendly. 52 customer counters would be provided.
