Apple harvesting begins in Kashmir's picturesque Orchards

The beauty of Kashmir is complimented with the King of the region -Apples.

Year 2017 was declared as the ‘Year of the Apple' by Chief minister Mehbooba Mufti Sayeed.

Thousands of people are employed in the process of the fruit’s production and harvesting with a varieties like Maharaj, Ambri, American, Delicious and Hazratbal find home in different states of India.

Starting mid-September, apple growers start harvesting different varieties of the fruit.
