Army Chief General Naravane visits, reviews situation along LAC

Amid ongoing tension with China, Indian Army Chief MM Naravane visited forward areas of Fire and Fury corps and undertook first-hand assessment of situation along Line of Actual Control (LAC).

General Officer Commanding (GOC), Fire and Fury Corps and local commanders briefed him on operational preparedness of the forces. He also inspected the state of the habitat of troops on the forward line of defence at Rechin La. He also appreciated the efforts made by the formation to make troops comfortable along the LAC.

Interacting with the troops, he asked to work with same zeal and enthusiasm. He also distributed sweets and cake on the eve of Christmas.
