Big success for Jalandhar Rural police against drugs in two different cases
Jalandhar Rural police on Wednesday solved two drug cases successfully. In the first case, the police arrested Zimbabwe woman and recovered 450 gm of heroin concealed in the heels of sandals. The police received specific information about a foreign woman carrying drugs.

Acting on the information, the police laid a naka near Phillaur bus stand. During the search, they came across a foreign woman travelling on a bus coming from Ludhiana at the Phillaur Bus stand. She tried to escape the police. The police immediately took her into the custody.

During the search of her bag, a pair of sandals was recovered where contraband was concealed in the heels. The woman has been identified as Alisha Mosas, a resident of Mwazunk, Zimbabwe, presently residing at Chhaterpur in New Delhi.

In another case, Jalandhar rural police seized a truck carrying 650 cartons of illegal alcohol. It is being suspected that this alcohol was to be used during Panchayat elections.
