Farmer hangs himself in Amritsar village
Another farmer in Punjab today ended his life because of unpaid farm debts- a reason that has led to several farmer suicides in the State. A farmer hanged himself in his home in Jandiala Guru Village in Amritsar.

According to the villagers, he had an unpaid debt of Rs 15 lakh. The family of the farmer is under shock and is not in a condition to talk.

Police reached the spot. The body will be handed over to the family after post-mortem. Police has started an investigation.
