Bains brothers' entry boosts Amrinder Raja Warring's position in Congress
PTC News Desk: They were both MLAs in the past. Balwinder, an MLA from Ludhiana south, had represented the Atam Nagar segment, whereas Simarjit had done so.
According to sources, negotiations have been ongoing for the past few weeks to persuade the pair to join the Congress, which would help Amrinder Raja Warring, the party's candidate. He will face off against Ashok Parashar Pappi of the AAP, Ranjit Singh Dhillon of the SAD, and Ravneet Bittu of the BJP.
The Bains brothers reportedly joined the party with the understanding that they would receive the Congress ticket for the upcoming Assembly elections, according to sources.
