Jalandhar: Two RPF soldiers killed in a road accident at Naugajja village in Kartarpur

Jalandhar: In a major road accident, two Railway Protection Force (RPF) jawans were killed when a car in which they were travelling collided with the truck at Naugajja village in Kartarpur on Monday morning.

According to the information, the police arrived on the spot after getting information and took the deceased to the hospital. As per report, RPF jawans were in the Alto car, which collided with the truck coming from the opposite side.

The SHO Pushp Bali stated that two RPF jawans had died. The identification of the deceased has been ascertained as Madan Singh and Raman Kumar. Madan Singh hails from Kangra, while Raman Kumar was from Kapurthala.

Earlier on Monday morning, another accident took place in Mohali. A truck collided with a SUV car near Chhat village in Zirakpur. One person died, while another was injured. In another accident two buses collided in Amritsar resulting many injuries to passengers.

Meanwhile, Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted dense to very dense fog over Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh for the next two days.
