Makar Sankranti 2024: India is a land of immense devotion and festivities, where we have a plethora of cultures and traditions. When it comes to the Hindu culture, Makar Sankranti is one significant festival dedicated to Lord Surya or the Sun God. 

Makar Sankranti heralds the end of winter and the start of longer days as the sun moves northward. And this period is known as Uttarayan and is considered to be very auspicious.

Til Ladoo: These are sweet ladoos made with sesame seeds and jaggery, often enjoyed during Makar Sankranti. They are not only delicious but also provide warmth to the body during the winter season

Makki ki Roti and Sarson ka Saag: Popular in North India, especially in Punjab, this dish features flatbreads made with maize flour (makki) served with a delicious mustard greens preparation (sarson ka saag).

Sesame seeds ladoo: Begin your celebrations with the traditional and healthful Sesame Seed and Jaggery Ladoo. This simple sweet delicacy is packed with energy because to the nutrient-dense sesame seeds. Roast the seeds, combine with jaggery, and form into bite-sized ladoos.
