Ankit Baliyan murder case: Two suspected shooters shot dead in UP Police encounter
The police said that Sumit and Mohit were involved in Baliyan's killing along with two other shooters.
PTC News Desk: In a significant development, two shooters suspected of being involved in the murder case of Haryanavi singer Ankit Baliyan were killed in an encounter with Shamli Police and the SWAT team, officials said.
The two men, identified as 24-year-old Sumit and 22-year-old Mohit, carried a reward of Rs 50,000 each.

The police said that Sumit and Mohit were involved in Baliyan's killing along with two other shooters. A total of six people have so far emerged as being involved in the killing, police said.
Popular 35-year-old Haryanvi singer Baliyan was shot dead by four attackers outside a gym in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh. He was known for songs such as Bhari Court Mein Goli Maarenge Meri Jaan, which was popular in the region.
Two wanted shooters killed in encounter
Two suspects, each carrying a ₹50,000 reward, were killed in a police encounter near an Indian Gas godown on Kairana Road in Shamli.
Teams from Shamli Kotwali Police, Jhinjhana Police and the SWAT team took part in the operation. Police said the suspects opened fire first, and officers retaliated, injuring both men.
The suspects were taken to the District Joint Hospital in Shamli, where doctors declared them dead during treatment.
Two SWAT team head constables, Harvinder and Pradeep, were also injured during the encounter.
Police recovered two pistols, 10 live cartridges and nine used 30-bore cartridges from the scene. Another pistol, along with 16 live and six used cartridges, was also recovered.
